No movie Monday this week. Sorry. Just not enough time to put one together. But, in its place I have this picture, that I took at the mall yesterday. Unfortunately, I wasn't that close when I took it on my phone, but hopefully you can get the idea.
See the little boy? See his diaper? See what's below? His pants, yes. But what is even harder to see is that his pants have a belt, and they are deliberately situated low on his hips gangsta style (is that the right term? Shit, I'm so not in touch with the current lingo.). To show off his diaper!
Can't make this shit up people!
Edited to add: I need to make it clear guys, this was done to this poor child on purpose!!!! This was not a case of pants not fitting right, his parents gave him this look ON PURPOSE! I saw him several times over the course of about an hour and he was like this every time. Truly unbelievable!
Oh my gosh! We saw something similar at the hospital. We were there for a small procedure for my son, and this child was running around the waiting area with his pants BELTED well below where they should be. He was prbably three and his underwear were hanging out for the world to see. It took everything in me not to tell him - well, his parents, really -to pull up his pants!
ReplyDeleteSometimes my son's pants hang that low but we have yet to find a toddler belt for him. One time he was running outside and all of a sudden his pants were around his ankles...that's what ya get when ya have a really skinny, somewhat tall kid.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...interesting. Just found you on philly mom bloggers. Looking forward to reading your blog...come and visit me on the playground. thanks, Laurie
ReplyDeleteOh yeah - lil man was chillin. I think i mighta seen a glock 9 tucked in the back of the waistband there. ya see it - right under his arse!
ReplyDeletei soooo dont get it. adults...i dont get it, but with a baby..come on-WTF!! people have no clue.
oh btw...there is a little suttin suttin waiting for you over at my blog
ReplyDeleteWow. I guess that's how he rolls. (hee hee hee)
ReplyDeleteOh my, why would you do that to a child on purpose.
ReplyDeleteI love the new design - I haven't been here in a while.
On a seperate note, check out this blog - http://challengesandadventures.blogspot.com. She has a posting up about a little gadget that prevents kids from unbuckling their seat belts. If I remember correctly from the Philly Mom Blogger meet up, you had some troubles there. Just this week my youngest did this to me as we were driving - I could have spit I was so upset at him. There is a web site as well: http://www.buckleboss.com/
I can't believe that this has actually become an accepted style. I was so glad when my teenage son joined the Navy and I didn't have to look at his boxers sticking out above his belt anymore!
ReplyDeleteha ha ha!! soo funny. poor dude must be having some troubles walking in those, I think you got the lingo right too!

Ughh, that drives me nuts. They make pants for babies and kids now with the adjustable elastic waistband. AND to plug a fellow Philly Mom Blogger, there are belts for babies and toddlers. www.chesapeakeribbons.com, owned by Margie, makes custom ribbon belts...and other things. I have one for my 2 year old gal and it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteoh so wrong on so many levels...thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a real b*tch ar(e m^thaf(ker! His parents must be soooo proud!
ReplyDeleteTee (ICLW)
What's wrong with his parents? And here i thought i was crazy.
ReplyDeleteThat is just wrong on so many levels. Seriously, I do not want to see what type of underwear any guy is wearing.
ReplyDeleteHere from ICLW.
Thanks for your comment on my blog!
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to try that look. Heck, if it's goof toddlers, it's good for this mid-late 30s, overweight mama. Who wouldn't want to see my Hanes Her Ways?? I know..right?
oh lord the things people do to their unsuspecting children....

OMGoodness... just when you think people can't do any worse than they've already done, they go and do the gangsta look on a baby!!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Ugh.. there are just some people in the world who need to get a clue!
OMG. It's ridiculous. I wonder if they do that to the Grandpa of the family too...situate his pants below his Depends Undergarments.
ReplyDeleteVisting from ICLW...Love the blog! Isn't that crazy that someone would do that to their child. I swear...just thinking about putting a belt on a child in diapers wears me out...
ReplyDeleteWow, Thanks for sharing. My personal favorite in this vein of stupid fashion parents impose on their children is the Mohawk on a toddler. The mother actually looked me in the eye and said her son wanted it. Visiting from ILCW.
