Rich is in the hospital

Rich is in the hospital with cellulitis in his left hand. It came on fast and hard and 24 hours of oral antibiotics did nothing.

He's had two doses of IV Zosyn and still has an elevated temperature and heart rate. The redness and swelling have continued to increase.

They are concerned about MRSA and some bizarre organism that I've never heard of because he bit off a hangnail. I just had a chance to look up what Zosyn covers and it does not cover MRSA.

So now I'm just a little more scared than I already was.
I want to be there with him, but I need to be home with the boys too. And I need a good night sleep since the last couple haven't been great first because Kiel was sick, and last night because I was worried about Rich and kept checking on him.

I'm so tired and scared.

  3. Hi there,
I hope you get this message, I still have trouble leaving comments on my own blog. I found your image with no blog attached when I google therapy photos...thought it was cute and appropriate given my current situation. Anyway, now that I know about you-I gave you proper credit and your blog a plug-hope some people check it out! All the best, cheers-Leslie

  10. Try not to worry, since that doesn't help anything anyway, and it definitely doesn't help you fall asleep. I don't know how to not worry, though.

  13. How is Rich doing and how are you holding up? I had my tonsils removed a few weeks ago and my husband got stuck taking care of all of us. I could only imagine the stress you are dealing with - having to take care of the kids while still wanting to be by your husband's side. Your family is in our prayers!
